Do you have Swiss roots? Are you curious to learn more about the land of your forebears? Swiss Ping
Pong makes this possible and arranges a stay for you in a host family in Switzerland.
From March to September 2006 we will arrange 3- to 5-day stays for young and older American citizens
with Swiss roots. As far as possible we will find a host family in the region of your choice. Board
and lodging are provided by the host family. You pay for travel and excursions.
Swiss Ping Pong is a project to bring people with Swiss roots together, run by the Swiss cultural
institution‚ Stapferhaus Lenzburg’. The project is financed by the Swiss Confederation, the canton
of Solothurn and various private organizations and sponsors.
The Rules of the Game:
You are a US citizen with Swiss roots or a Swiss citizen residing in the USA.
You can take part in Swiss Ping Pong alone, as a couple or as a family (up to max. 5 persons)
and have a stay with a host family in Switzerland. 2 adults with 1 to 3 children qualify as a
family.
You decide the length of your stay as a guest in the family. 3- to 5-day stays are possible
during the period from March 1 to September 30, 2006.
Board and lodging are provided by your hosts, you pay for travel and excursions yourself.
Per arrangement you pay Swiss Ping Pong a single fee of $65 (regardless of how many you are).
As soon as we receive this amount, we can go ahead and process your booking application.
If you cancel your stay, you are obliged to inform Swiss Ping Pong and your host in Switzerland
as early as possible. The registration fee cannot be refunded.
You are personally responsible for accident and health insurance. Swiss Ping Pong declines any
liability. In case of damages all costs are chargeable to you.
