When you visit Switzerland and have time to hike around, there is a useful hiking and trekking website with all the information you need (in German):

A great book I would recommend is "Die 100 schönsten Hüttenziele der Schweizer Alpen". The book is in German and tells you the greatest Destinations of alpine lodges in Switzerland. A place to go by car or bus which is easy to reach is the Grimsel Stausee. see www.grimselwelt.ch or www.grimselstrom.ch (in english). Take a tour to see the Grimsel powerplant, it's awesome I was there last year.
