While growing up in New Jersey I found out a lot about the Yoss family. My grandfather had researched our family all the way back to the 1400 or 1500 hundreds in Switzerland. he found out that the actual spelling of our name is Joss in Switzerland. He found the family farm and castle where our family crest is. What I found really interesting was that when the Joss's immigrated from Switzerland through Ellis Island in New York the name was changed to Yoss. I was able to find the record of this when I was on a field trip in junior high. Sorry if this is short but its my first entry on swiss roots.
