I have a few pieces of wisdom that guide my life. Every now and then a new one occurs to me. These are usually pithy, easily remembered insights that can be repeated in moments of decision. My newest is: "If you can buy something Swiss, why wouldn't you?" I have found Swiss products to be uncommonly well made and reliable. I recently purchased a Caran d'Ache pen and pencil. I am anticipating my new Swiss watch. Now whenever I am in the market for a significant purchase I look for a Swiss product, reminding myself that, "If you can buy something Swiss, why wouldn't you?"
