Riding for his CSC team, Swiss cyclist Fabian Cancellara is currently leading the 94th Tour de France, symbolized by wearing the world’s most famous cycling event’s yellow jersey. Although crashing with a little more than a mile left in yesterday’s stage, Cancellara limped across the finish line and held onto the lead. The 26-year-old native of Wohlen is the current world time-trial champion and became only the second Swiss to win the classic one-day race, Paris-Roubaix, last year. Over the past four years, Cancellara has faired well in other major cycling competitions as well, including the Tour de Romandie and Tour de Suisse. The 3,550 kilometer Tour de France winds its way through France for the next three weeks before the champion is crowned July 29th in Paris.
