tonight we play at the Good Hurt Club in Venice L.A. where the girl bartenders are dressed up as nurses.
their logo is the swiss flag- so we fit perflectly.
Originally it used to be the red cross but after complains from the organisiation they tried the white on red version and had more luck with the swiss.
Warm welcome from alec, the booker and the staff.
We set up after a very creative guitar, drum duo and unleash swiss folk music onto the LA audience. Reactions are mixed, I guess not quite the style they are used to listen to but some people say we rock. Roli, our L.A. host brought some of his swiss pals who turn out to be hard core supporting fans and sing out loud
“ senneleduia ooh” with us.
After the concert andre, another interesting swiss fellow we meet, takes us to a club called BRIG – the name of my home town. Funny.

Roli found andra - about 25 years after they went to the same middle school - surfing the net through the archives of the swiss talk show “Aeschbacher “ where she was an invited guest. He send her a mail saying that if she ever would pass through LA she could be his guest and actually – we were just passing ever so casually.
Roli was so generous and we have a great time at his place.

LA is hughe! We spend all day in the car just to get from new port beach – roli’s place to Hollywood to meet up with lena, my music lawyer who lives there. We shortly cruise through Beverly hills to sniff a little celebrity air and then got to practically run along the star sidewalk taking some pictures of tourists taking pictures and rush back to huntigton beach to play at the surf city nights festival.
The organizer was so nice to give us the only spot with electricity the whole street festival had to offer and we do our thing.
Inbetween we explain curious listeners where we are from, what kind of language we are singing in and people are amused and have fun.

in the car again. Driving, driving, driving…
picking up an acoustic guitar at andre’s and then hit Venice beach.
Bathing in the pacific – it is througly wonderful. Around 6pm we get ready to play in front of the waterfront café – a swiss owned hip beach restaurant. But without amps our sound is blowing in the wind and swallowed by the loud happy hour crowed. What can you do. So we join the happy hour people and promenade al little up and down Venice beach.
