Well I do not know what to say . For anyone thinking about having a baby in the U.S versus Switzerland , do it in Switzerland. It is so much more humane and caring. A great experience. I had my daughter in the Leibfrauenhoffin Zug. The nurses were so great, the midwife was fantastic. My doctor was great and it was all was natural, ihate to say it , but not like here. They give you drugs ( or try to here). It's much better for the baby to be born there. I had visited a hospital here in the U.S and it seems like you are treated more like a person in Switzerland and less like a number. You get so much more help from all the nurses. Don't get me wrong there were nice nurses here, but they nurses in Switzerland seemed to also know natural alternative for things and this seemed so much better than offering drugs. To anyone trying to decide have the baby there,I had a really great experience there and I just loved my midwife.
On the fourth day after my daughter was born the nurses insited in watching the baby for 2 hours. They ushered us to the basdement of the hospital where they had four tiny tables with 4 white tablecloths, candles , champagne and two glasses for red and wine each. They served us a gourmet 5 course meal. It was jsut lovely, with apetizer, soup, main course , salad , vegetables and dessert. All of the women were in our hospital gown covered in our dressing gowns. It was amazing. The food was fantastic and for me to say this it ws what amazing food is by definition. Most of the women were so tired and exhausted but it was bliss anyway. thehospital had planned this huge surprise for all of us.To this day i cannot figure our who did the whole dinner.I think it was our husbands, but all the women were grateful for the experience.
