Movie actress. Born and grew up in Katy, Texas. Her father came from Au, Canton St Gallen while her mother was Norwegian. She studied journalism at the University of Texas before becoming an actress. Her films include "Jerry Maguire" (1996) "Bridget Jones's Diary" (2001) and "Cold Mountain" (2003).
