My brother and son in Gruyere

Hi, I'm Nathalie. I'm Swiss born, and moved to the United States (California) for studying when I was 23 years old. I finished my studies, got married and had a child. I got married in August 2003 and it was already over in January 2005. Then my son was born in July 2005. For a year and a half now, I've been fighting very hard to be able to move back home to Zurich with my two and a half year old son.
I absolutely want to raise him back home, in a safe environment, where family values are still strong, where the education is good, and where my roots are and my family.
It's been a long hard struggle. Lots of fights, court dates, now psychological evaluation. And I will know the results within the next one or two month.
I miss home so much. I regret that I stayed in the States so long, and I regret that I didn't move home immediately after seperating with my ex, while I was still pregnant. But I guess, in life, one makes mistakes and then one has to live with them.
But, it is imperative to me that my son grows up in Switzerland, to have a good foundation for later in life. I want him to learn, and appreciate culture, languages, and appreciate nature, and the world.
So, I keep on fighting for that until we (my son and I) are finally HOME, and live in Switzerland.
And I will no longer be a "prisoner" of the USA!!! And my son's future will be limitless.
