My hometown, Sumiswald, has approximately 5,300 inhabitants. This is a little bit less than the number of people who work in the building where I work everyday--quite striking to imagine that everyone in an entire Swiss town fits into one building.

How exciting it was to adjust the clocks in 1981 for the first time (back in Switzerland). To have one hour less of sleep. To listen to all the pros and cons of adjusting the time. How even the Swiss cows were entangled in this introduction of "summertime," as many people claimed that the cows would not adjust to be milked one hour ahead of schedule.
