I was going to attend college at Norwich University in Northfield, VT, and had already been accepted as a student. I had no idea what I'd study as a Hauptfach (major). I saw that German language classes were available and realized it'd be extremely unlikely to think that any of my "older" relatives would take the time to learn English just to talk to me. They, my relatives, are extremely hard-working farmers in Fahrni. (Es gibt ein Dorf in der nahe von Thun.) So, I began studying German and loved the studies so much that I majored in German Language and Literature. I love reading, so, in my studies, I got to read so many great works of German literature.
