I don't think that many people still stop and pick up pennies lying on the ground. But I do. Each time I reach down, I say to myself, "Wer den Rappen nicht ehrt, ist den Franken nicht wert." It was a little saying that I heard from my dad, and it means, "He who does not honor the penny is not worth the dollar."
