What a great week-end/monday at our Swiss Farms Cottege.   Clebrating my Grandfathers birthday and a great reason for a holiday here in the U.S. .   Julius Baur, born in Bremgarten, Switzerland, was first to come to the states from my family.  This week-end we celebrated his and my Grandmothers B-day and wonderfull time on this planet.  We joined together in Dryden, Michigan.  Our cottege is set back in the Swiss Farms Community for our Detroit Macomb area Swiss people.  Julius has been here for more than 50yrs and racing ARMHA vintage motorcycles for just the same.  Though he is in his late 70's,  he is a man full of Swiss Pride.   He has painted his BSA red and white; he has all his town flags and Swiss flag on his vehical, and is still President of Detroit Swiss club.  We have always had business in our blood.  From his parents running a Trout farm in Bremgarten and him with the family's VW repair shop in Warren, MI.  The shop was passed on to my father, Richard.  When Julius passed it on he kept working his own plaster business he has had a second talent for.  I, myself, have my own business doing Marine Detailing/Cleaing.  If it wasn't for my Grandfather, remembering why I am here, and the love to be a strong Swiss blooded human  I would not be who I am today.
