MUSICsCULpTURE (3) US & CH Anthem, Anthem-City & Pavilion Helvetia

(1) "The Star Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States. The lyrics come from a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key, a 35-year-old amateur poet who wrote "Defence of Fort McHenry"[1] after seeing the bombardment of Fort McHenry at Baltimore, Maryland, by Royal Navy ships in Chesapeake Bay during the War of 1812.
"The Star Spangled Banner" was recognized for official use by the Navy in 1889 and the President in 1916, and was made the national anthem by a congressional resolution on March 3, 1931 (46 Stat. 1508, codified at 36 USC §301), which was signed by President Herbert Hoover.
August 18, 2000 I became an US-citizen, welcomed with a letter copy and signed by president Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. I lived in Colorado Springs but the ceremony was in Denver, btw. a great ceremony for more than 200 people.
For the test I needed to study all the questions they may be put on me, I found on the web 120 of them from which 12 would be chosen by the INS tester. One of these questions was: “Who wrote the lyrics of the "The Star Spangled Banner" – hmmm? – it was Francis Scott Key.
More interesting for was the melody (music) with a range of one and a half octaves, it is known for being difficult to sing. Instead to sing it I designed a graphical display of tabulated frequencies; a histogram, using the pitch of every note as height (y / frequency) and the lenght as width (x / duration). What I got was I “skyline” of “Anthem-City”:

(2) The "Swiss Psalm" is the national anthem of Switzerland. Its history dates back to 1841, when the anthem was composed by Alberich Zwyssig (1808-1854). Since then it has been frequently sung on patriotic events. The Federal Council declined however on numerous occasions to accept the psalm as the official anthem. This was because they wanted the people to decide what they liked as the national song. Finally on April 1, 1981 it was declared the official Swiss national anthem.
2001 & 2002 : For Switzerland's Expo 2002, e.g. for the art project Artcanal: "Independent of the Swiss National Show Expo.02, 56 Swiss artists have created works for the Zihlkanal." I made some studies for an application to participate as “foreign” artist on this project (I never applied).
Since the music (melody) of the “Swiss Psalm” contents 27 notes, e.g. for every Swiss 26 of the Swiss cantons one, plus one for the flag of the “Confederatio Helvetica” (official name of Switzerland) I got a histogram which could colored with 27 symbols of Switzerland. Arranging the single segments in a circle, I made the walls for a building which I called “Music Pavilion Helvetia”. That’s it !
