In Japan, Switzerland is very famous for "Heidi" by Johanna Spyri.
It became n animated film "Heidi - A girl of Alps" in in 1974, and was loved by many children across Japan including me.
Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata - Japanese famous animators - got involved with it.
Because of this great animated film, when I think of Switzerland I always imagine the villege Maienfeldibase at the base of Swiss Alps and wish I could taste swiss cheese, soup with fresh milk and white soft bread as Heidi and her uncle Alm did.
