Big Ben Gets Accustomed to Swiss Customs

I can think of no better goodwill ambassador (of Swiss Roots, no less) for the U.S. than Ben Roethlisberger. Not only is he a great football player, but he seems like a really good guy and appears to be genuinely interested in his Swiss heritage. What's more, he's from Ohio! How could you go wrong??? I am looking for Americans who are descended from Swiss people from the village of Lauperswil (Canton of Berne). I am writing a book about the citizens of Lauperswil, and I have a lot of people who went to America between 1710 and 1850. Who wants to help me?

I got so excited when I heard that Big Ben was visiting Switzerland. I was always checking for more news about his trip on swissroots.org and sf.tv. For a long time I kept asking my dad for his signature. Then finally one morning he woke me up at 6:10am and was holding an autographed quarterback T-shirt!

At school, at lunch we were discussing what cut the cheese means. One boy said that it meant one thing, but my friend and I kept making a joke out of it to annoy the boy. We always asked if it means that you take a knife and cheese and then cut it. Now I found this website that says that Big Ben cut the cheese. In the article it shows Ben cutting Swiss cheese.
