2010 ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships!

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2010 ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships! For the fourth consecutive year, ThinkSwiss will select 15 talented and motivated U.S. students from all fields of study who apply for a research project at a Swiss university or research lab. The awardees will receive a monthly stipend of $1000 for a period of up to three months.

In Love with Geneva

Bon jour,

I spent 3 1/2 months in Crans Montana in 2008 and fell in love with Switzerland.  I traveled to other countries, but Switzerland was it.  My favorite canton is Lousanne.  I want to live there, but do not have the education or the money it takes to make this happen.  I wonder if anyone knows how people immigrate there and find work and a place to live.  I am doing a research paper for College

An iPhone App to Protect the Alps

Our friends in BL (Basel-Landschaft) have installed a new energy-efficient heating system, this means that when you drain a bath, the heat is saved and reused, and that the house costs pennies to keep warm through the cold Swiss winters. I just want to understand how it works.
