Hello: I am a Swiss-American,and my American roots go back to the Revolutionary War of America.My grandmother told me that during the Revolutionary War,my family's ancestors' were on the side of the colonists,were Swiss,and fought in the war against the British.That is how we entered the United States;fighting.

I am a grandson of the late Carl Menno Lehman 1915-1998  Bluffton, Ohio (respected retired accountant at what is now Bluftton University 1954-1979).  If I recall the story correctly most of grandpa Carl's grandparents and great grand parents lived in the Emmental area of Switzerland in the Canton of Bern.  Grandpa Carl met at least one of his biological first cousins in Switzerland awhile back when

Jean Charles Naegeli

My ancestor Jean Charles Naegeli was born on 21 July 1877 in Berne, Switzerland.  He was the son of Jean and Marie (Miller) Naegeli. Prior to coming to America at the age of 25 he resided in Chaux de Fonds.  He arrived in this country on January 12,1903 (departure from Havre on January 3) aboard La Bretagne.   His destination was Canton Ohio.

In America he married Alice Pillot daughter of Desire  Pillot
