She moved to Ottumwa from Switzerland in 2008 and has been making traditional Swiss bread, called zopf,

With a pierced nose, ripped jeans and pop- star style, Eliana Bürki does not fit the traditional appearance of most alphorn players. Nor do the sounds emanating from her alphorn- which she describes as a blend of blues, funk & jazz- resemble traditional alphorn music.

SWISS Director GAEL METROZ won the BEST DOCUMENTARY for his film NOMAD'S LAND.

Filmmaker Gel Metroz follows the
