Looking for family roots in St. Galen

My family immigrated to St. Louis in the late 1800's. Their names were "Rinderer". Cities they may have been from are St. Galen and Neuchatel. I'm more inclined to believe they were in the German-Swiss part of the country though because my mother's first language was German.

My Mother (Trena), Aunt (Claudia) (they are half-sisters), Uncle (Steve - Claudia's husband) and I (Brett) are off to Switzerland for our first visit to see the country and to visit relatives in the Meiringen area.
