I am always asked which team I'll be cheering for. In fact, over the years I have built up a complex heirarchy of loyalties, so that I am always sure of who should win. There is never a time I am confused about who to supprt, but too often my team is knocked out early. Euro 08 was amazing, beautiful, and tiring- and ultimately ended in success. I went from Switzerland, to Holland, to Russia to Spain.
You may have not got my message from me recent trip to Zuerich and Graubunden, also Luzern, Interlaken, Zurichsee, Rheinfall, but for now I'll send the pictures.
Thanks to the wonderful team at the NYC consulate (thanks Lukas!), the little league team of Watertown put on the Swiss jersey and played with it to celebrate the opening game of the Euro 08. The action was fast and the team liked the jersey so much that they wore it again the next weekend. In the meantime, the parents kept asking the Swiss coach about the results of his team back home!!
