Why I'm a Swiss Roots Member:
My father moved from Solothurn, Switzerland, to Pittsburgh, PA, United States in 1947. We have stayed in touch with our Swiss relatives.

Historical books about natural disasters like earthquakes, floods and the like. Example: Krakatoa, by Simon Winchester.
My Dream Destinations
If I Could Be Anywhere and Do Anything in Switzerland:
The Swiss Jura region and the Alps, and northern Italy.
My Personal Interests:
I'm taking care of the archives of the Swiss-American Society of Pittsburgh, I do printmaking and sometimes exhibit my work, and I like to cook and go for hikes in the woods.
Languages I Speak:
English, and I've studied German but it is rusty. I've also studied French and Latin, long ago.

I've lived briefly in Zurich and visited Solothurn many times.
